ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd

First to recite Qur'an publicly in Makkah; keeper of the Prophet's ﷺ sandals; of him the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever wishes to hear the Qur'an as fresh as it was revealed, let him recite as Ibn Umm ʿAbd recites."
