The Army's Camp on the Road to Badr

A feature within · Dhāt al-Jaysh

Significance

Dhāt al-Jaysh is a place a few miles from Dhū al-Ḥulayfa on the road to Makka. The Prophet ﷺ camped there when he set out for Badr in the second year of the Hijra, ordered the army, and turned back those young boys he judged too small. It is called "Dhāt al-Jaysh" (Place of the Army) because the army encamped there.
