The Place of Supplication

A feature within · Masjid Al-Fath

Significance

The site where the Prophet ﷺ raised his hands for three days supplicating against the Confederates in the Battle of the Trench. He prayed on Monday and Tuesday and was not answered. On Wednesday, between Ẓuhr and ʿAṣr, the Companions saw joy on his face ﷺ and knew he had been answered. The mosque is named "al-Fatḥ" — "the Opening" — because Allah drove back the Confederates with a wind and forces they could not see.
