The Trench Line

Significance

The trench dug on the counsel of Salmān al-Fārisī ﭬ to defend Madinah from her exposed northern side. The Prophet ﷺ worked in it with his own hands and carried dirt until his noble belly was covered in dust. About five thousand cubits long.
