﴿قَدْ نَرَىٰ تَقَلُّبَ وَجْهِكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ ۖ فَلَنُوَلِّيَنَّكَ قِبْلَةً تَرْضَاهَا ۚ فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ ۚ وَحَيْثُ مَا كُنتُمْ فَوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُ﴾«فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ … فَاسْتَدَارَ الْقَوْمُ كَهَيْئَتِهِمْ نَحْوَ الْقِبْلَةِ.»While people were at Quba praying Fajr, a messenger came and said: 'A revelation came to the Prophet ﷺ tonight; he has been commanded to face the Kaʿbah, so face it.' Their faces had been toward Syria; they turned toward the Kaʿbah.
