The News of the Qibla Change Reaching Them

Significance

Some historians recount that the news of the Qibla change reached Banū Ḥāritha while they were in the ʿAṣr prayer — after it had come to Masjid al-Qiblatayn — and they turned in rukūʿ toward the Kaʿba. It has also been said they were Banū Salima, or both — a group of the Anṣār in its mosque turned toward the Kaʿba during prayer. This event is a proof of the Anṣār's excellent following of the Prophet ﷺ, immediately and without hesitation.
