The Prophet's ﷺ Command to the Archers

Significance

The Prophet ﷺ said to the archers: "If you see us being snatched by birds, do not leave your position until I send for you; and if you see us defeating the enemy and trampling them, do not leave until I send for you." In another wording: "Drive the cavalry off us with arrows — let them not come at us from behind." This charge is a foundation on obeying the commander in war, and that an initial victory does not annul the order.
