The Prophet ﷺ used to come to Quba Mosque every Saturday, riding and on foot, and pray two rakʿahs in it.
Whoever purifies himself in his house, then goes to Quba Mosque and prays in it, will have a reward equal to that of an ʿUmrah.
Prophetic ﷺ practices to revive here — a simple checklist for when you're standing in the place itself.
Tradition recommends purifying yourself at home before coming. "Whoever purifies himself at home, then goes to Quba and prays there, has the reward of an ʿUmrah" (Ibn Majah).
The Prophet ﷺ came to Quba every Saturday — riding and on foot — and prayed two rakʿahs (Bukhari & Muslim). Revive this Sunnah with two units of greeting-prayer.
This is the first mosque built in Islam — the Prophet ﷺ laid its foundation with his own blessed hand. Carry this in mind as you sit.
🎒 What to bring
A gentle reminder — Islamic adab at these places.
Perform wudu at your hotel before coming — for the ʿUmrah-equivalent reward. A neglected Sunnah.
Do not invent special rituals for visiting Quba. The Sunnah is simply to pray inside.
Soon you'll be able to share your photos from Quba Mosque so future visitors can see them — every photo reviewed by scholars before publication (to keep the space respectful).
