The Prophet ﷺ sent ʿAli, al-Zubayr, and al-Miqdād ﭬ to Rawḍat Khākh to retrieve Ḥāṭib's letter from the woman. When she refused, ʿAli ﭬ threatened her and she pulled it from her braid. Ḥāṭib confessed he had done it for his family in Makkah, and the Prophet ﷺ forgave him because he had been at Badr.

The Prophet ﷺ sent riders here to intercept Hatib's letter — then forgave him when he apologized, for he had witnessed Badr. A lesson in justice and mercy.
A gentle reminder — Islamic adab at these places.
Recall the Prophetic justice: ruled the truth on Hatib, then forgave him.
