﴿وَمِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَيَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنفِقُ قُرُبَاتٍ عِندَ اللَّهِ﴾«مَنْ يَشْتَرِي بِئْرَ رُومَةَ فَيَكُونُ دَلْوُهُ فِيهَا كَدِلَاءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ.»The Prophet ﷺ said: "Who will buy the Well of Rumah so that his bucket in it is like the buckets of the Muslims?" So ʿUthman ﭬ bought it and dedicated it as a waqf for the believers.
