1. Quraysh breaks the Hudaybiyya treaty — Ramadan 8 AH
Two years after Hudaybiyya, Banu Bakr (Quraysh's allies) attacked Banu Khuzaʿa (the Prophet's ﷺ allies), killing 23. Quraysh supplied Banu Bakr with arms. ʿAmr ibn Salim al-Khuzaʿi came to the Prophet ﷺ seeking help. He set out with 10,000 — destination concealed. Hatib ibn Abi Baltaʿa ﭬ wrote to warn Quraysh; the Prophet ﷺ intercepted the letter via ʿAli, al-Zubayr, and al-Miqdad at Rawdat Khākh. He forgave Hatib because he had been at Badr.
