Significance
In the twelfth year of Prophethood, twelve men of the Anṣār came to the Prophet ﷺ in the ḥajj season and pledged to him at al-ʿAqaba: to associate nothing with Allah, not to steal, commit fornication, kill their children, invent slander, or disobey him in what is right. It is called the "Pledge of Women" because it was a pledge on deeds without fighting. The Prophet ﷺ sent Muṣʿab ibn ʿUmayr ﭬ back with them to teach them Islam in Madīna.
