The Second Mihrab — Toward the Kaʿba

Significance

The southern mihrab that became the qibla after the change. In the Saudi expansion, markers of both mihrabs were preserved as reminders, while the practical prayer direction is only toward the Kaʿba as the qibla was finally established.
